How We Got Here

Stagewise started with a clear idea: let product builders and developers point at any element on their app and tell an AI agent to change it. No digging through code. No context switching. Just point, describe, ship.

That idea resonated. Developers and product people used Stagewise to move faster, ship smaller changes confidently, and stay out of the weeds.

But as we watched how people actually worked, a pattern emerged. The best sessions happened when you could see your app and pull inspiration from the web and work alongside the agent — all at once. Stitching that together across a browser, a terminal, and an IDE was the real bottleneck. Not the idea. The environment.

So we rebuilt from the ground up.
